We are happy to announce another plein air workshop with Bethanne Kinsella Cople on the Pemaquid Peninsula Sept. 19-23, 2026!
This will be a 5-day workshop, (with a day trip to Monhegan Island included). We paint the rocky coast, the dramatic waves, the beach, ships, lobster traps and beautiful architecture of Maine in the fall. 5 full days to learn from Bethanne and be fully immersed in this beautiful location.
The Bradley Inn, just minutes away from the tip of the peninsula will host the workshop again in 2026. This full-service bed and breakfast in New Harbor, ME is a beautiful sanctuary, with a unique, comfortable, and warm environment that truly exudes the essence of Mid-coast Maine. Located on the Pemaquid Peninsula, near two quintessential harbors and a mere 4-minute walk from one of Maine’s most picturesque and iconic lighthouses, their property is the perfect location to access all that Maine has to offer yet provides tranquility and quietude.
Built in the early 1900’s as a boarding house then converted to an inn as the area became a vacation destination. Today, they offer 15 uniquely appointed guest rooms, each with its own bathroom and luxury amenities. The nearly three-acre property offers multiple seating areas in which to enjoy the beautiful perennial gardens and fresh ocean air filled with the sound of the surf and sea gulls.
We have reserved all the rooms from Sept. 18 (your arrival day) to Sept. 23, which is checkout day. (The workshop will end at 4 on the 23rd). For lunch, Josie will take orders and deliver lunches to the paint site, so your painting day is not interrupted going to get lunch. Dinners are on your own either in the dining room (Thurs. Fri. & Sat.) or local restaurants.

Workshop Price: $790 per student. What’s included: 5 days of instruction with Bethanne Kinsella Cople, round trip ferry ticket to Monhegan Island. Students are responsible for transportation to and from the workshop, lodging and meals.
