Plein air Painting in Provence
Bernie Dellario Instructor
June 9-17, 2022
Why did so many famous painters gravitate towards the South of France? Come with us to witness the light and colors of Provence and you will understand why. Van Gogh, Cezanne and so many others discovered the magic of Provence and now we invite you to join us for a small group experience, “Painting in Provence” with instructor Bernard Dellario.
Bernie is a well-known instructor and will be doing daily demos, helping individuals as we paint local sights and answer questions to help you advance in your artist’s journey. Our group is limited to 10 students, so each student receives a lot of personal attention.
Visit lavender fields, olive groves and the picturesque asylum where Van Gogh painted over 150 pieces during his 1 year stay. Provencal markets, Roman ruins, medieval villages and a wine tasting are on our itinerary.
Our goal is to make it easy for you. Unpack at the our private 8 room home in the charming village of Villes-sur-Auzon and become familiar with your surroundings and the village. We have easels, palettes, OMS and stools for you in France, so you only need to bring brushes, supports and paints or if you prefer your own pochade and wet panel carrier, that is fine too.
Your hostess/organizer has been organizing tours to this area for the last 14 years and visiting this corner of Provence for the last 25. Josie can help you find what you need or even a certain site that you may want to paint. She knows the lavender farmers and the local winemakers too! We take care of the details so you can focus on your art.
Tour includes: 8 nights lodging in private home, all transportation (including airport and train pickups and drop-offs), breakfast daily, 1 meal per day (lunch or dinner), all sightseeing fees and art instruction. *International airfare is not included. $3250 per person double occupancy.
